LIGHTED BOX SIGNS

Q. What sizes can I get?

A. Our standard choices include 30 different sign size combinations. However, Tango Signs offers all shapes and sizes so if you don’t see the size you're looking for, let us know and we will provide a custom quote.

Q. What are your signs made of?

A. Our lighted box signs are constructed of heavy duty, weather-resistant, extruded aluminum casing (.090 or thicker, depending on sign size) with welded corners and steel hardware. Capable of withstanding winds up to 140mph. Our standard cabinet depths are 7" for single-sided signs and 12" for double-sided signs. Each side of the sign face retainer is hinged for easy access to bulbs and installation points. All lighted box signs contain UL Listed electrical components with manufacturer warranties, wire-way cover, exterior safety switch, and a single 3-wire pigtail ready to connect to your 120v power source.

Q. What types of sign faces do you offer?

A. Our standard flat sign face panels are white translucent Implex* from Plexiglas® - 8x stronger than ordinary sign face material. We offer three types of sign faces: Flat, Panned (raised) Face, and Embossed (3D). Flat and panned face types are offered as standard selections when ordering your custom sign on our website, while embossed face panels required custom quotes. *Lexan, the strongest sign face material in the industry, is applied to signs purchased with flat faces over 4'H, and for added impact strength panned faces are our standard for signs with faces measuring over 48sq ft.

Q. What is the difference in the Flat, Pan, and Embossed Sign Faces?

A. FLAT FACE PANELS are the most common and most economical of sign face types. A flat-face panel is a completely flat insert that provides a sleek look for your sign.

PANNED FACE PANELS are molded to create a raised 2.5” 'pillow' effect. The raised portion of the sign face gives your graphics an eye-catching pop, and increases the panel’s strength and rigidity, improving its wind resistance. Panned face panels are optional on most sign sizes, but used as a standard on signs larger than 48sq ft. A very large flat surface area has an increased risk of bowing over time under extreme weather conditions and its own weight. This is prevented by using a panned face panel on all oversized signs.

EMBOSSED FACE PANELS are essentially panned face panels that have the added design element of embossed (raised) logo or lettering. This process creates a swanky 3-D effect that is sure to get attention.
